Good Bye Winter, Hello Spring!

If you live in the City, you have no choice but dig out your very own parking space, and set your chairs or any other furniture you don't need in the house to call it dibs! DO NOT under any circumstance park in a cleared parking space over night. Your car might be vandalized! Good thing I was only there during the day!
I hope we are done with snow and ice storms. We still have snow covering the area, but today we had a gorgeous day with 40 degrees. It can only get better!

Of course, we had another one of our fun retreats at the Hampton Inn. I finished several tops, but this one is my favorite. I can't wait to quilt it!

I also found out that my name is on a Judy Niemeyer Pattern. How exciting!

We also celebrated Sandy's birthday with a wonderful cake from the Cocoa Bean. OMG, the best cake I've had in a long time! Happy Birthday Sandy!

Oh, I almost forgot Dan's birthday! He turned 34. As usual, we went to Olive Garden, but this time we were very disappointed in the food and service. We'll have to find another place for his yearly birthday celebration.

We were lucky that John and Casey came to visit for two weeks over Christmas! We miss them very much, but it looks like they love Long Beach, especially the weather! I will have to ask them for pictures from sunny California!

Of course, the most fun is hanging out with Simon on my weekly babysitting day!

He can talk, talk, talk!

But the most exciting news came, when we found out that he's going to have a sister or brother in September. Although, according to him, he'd rather have a dog!

All in all, it was a long, yet fast first three months of 2015. I know this makes no sense, we always think these Chicago winters are going on forever, but now it is already March, and maybe the snow will go away soon!

Here are some of the customer quilts I've been working on. The quilts are so gorgeous! I'm glad I get a big variety of quilts to quilt, it never gets boring!

And there were many, many more!
