Salzburg - Oesterreich
Salzburg is only about two hours from Muenchen. It is surrounded by the most beautiful countryside: mountains, the 'Hohensalzburg', a gigantic fortress, almost like a complete village on top of the mountain, accessible by a funicular; Mozart was born in Salzburg. The weather was beautiful, and we took the 'Sound of Music Tour' which we thoroughly enjoyed. Bernie (Bernhard) was our tour guide! The tour ventured out of the city proper of Salzburg, and the countryside was so gorgeous! Unfortunately my camera's battery died.
